Dave’s journey with Calgary Lock & Safe reads like a locksmithing saga. He started as a technician with our installation and special projects team, moved on to sales, and now, he's our Senior Manager of Customer Experience & Sales. If you’ve got a lock conundrum, Dave’s your guy. His typical response to locksmith questions? "It depends..." – because in the world of locks, nothing is ever straightforward.
Falling (Literally?) into Locksmithing
Dave didn't dream of becoming a locksmith as a kid; he kind of fell into it. Ten years ago, he was searching for a career change and stumbled upon an apprenticeship at CLS. Fast forward a decade, and he's hooked on the thrill of making homes and businesses safer. Who knew security could be so fascinating?
Learning and Laughing Along the Way
What keeps Dave motivated? It's the constant learning. Our industry is a treasure trove of knowledge, from cutting-edge technologies to ancient lock lore. Dave loves it all. And let’s not forget the people – he enjoys working with a team that shares a passion for security, as well as friendships that transcend the workplace.
The Man Behind the Locks
When Dave isn’t busy being our lock guru, he’s out in the great outdoors. He’s a summer camper and a winter skier – basically, he’s making the most of living so close to the mountains. Fun fact: Dave only tried skiing for the first time this winter. Better late than never, right?
